By examining how literary giants like Tsubouchi Shoyo， Ozaki Koyo， Higuchi Ichiyo， Shimazaki Toson， and Izumi Kyoka collaborated with highly skilled artists such as Watanabe Seitei， Kaburaki Kiyokata， Kuroda Seiki， and Hirezaki Eiho， this pioneering study reveals little-known dimensions of modern Japanese literature， illuminating the vibrant and complex linkages between words and pictures.
